We have supplied the technical information for the e-Tron Spyder and the Quattro before but here are some additional pictures from the Paris Motor Show in Paris.

I love the most muscular American Quattro which resurrects a legendary model. The wink of the flat back to the original version of 1980 is also very pleasant.

For younger and refresh the memories of others, here is a brief history of the quattro. The Quattro as its name suggests is the first large series sports coupe AWD permanent. The first generation receives a 5-cylinder 2.1L 10 valves (WR), equipped with a turbocharger and an air exchanger that increases the power to 200hp (170hp instead of the version without heat exchanger fitted to the 200 Turbo ).

The Audi quattro is easily recognized by its flared fenders and bumpers specific that differentiate the Audi Coupe GT which it derives. 0-100km / h is in 7.1 seconds for a top speed of 222km / h

The Saab 9-4X was nearly a Arles. This SUV Swedish repeatedly delayed because of a troubled situation, finally makes its nest and turns through two photos ... informal. Because yes, it has not been formally presented.

It will be shown a preview before the exhibition in Los Angeles in early November. We discovered today some differences with the lean concept herald Saab 9-4X Biopower January 2008. Yes already.

They reside in the design of the rear bumper and the size of the lower air intakes. Otherwise copy it. The cabin is close to the Saab 9-5 sedan by the privileged attending a private presentation.

New Sport Porsche 918 Spyder

Porsche has unveiled a striking concept car, the new 918 Spyder, at the special pre-show event in Geneva. The mid-engined sports car has introduced as the new “ecology vs. performance” issue.

Porsche 918 Spyder

The 918 Spyder “Super-Sports” concept is powered by both a 500-horsepower V8 and a pair of electric motors (one for each axle) producing an additional 218 hp or 160kW. On the ecological surface it is talented of 3.0 litres/100 kilometers (94 mpg imp / 78 mpg US) with just 70 grams of CO2 emissions per kilometer. That gives a combined power output of 528 kW (718 PS / 708 hp) resulting in a 0 to 100 km/h tear in just 3.2 seconds, top zoom of 320 km/h (198 mph), and a lap time on the Nurburgring Nordschleife in excluding than 7:30 record, which is closer than the Porsche Carrera GT.

New Sport Volkswagen One-Liter L1

Volkswagen One-Liter L1

Volkswagen’s new L1 Concept was originally developed in concept form back in 2002, the L1 was designed along the premise of building the world’s first car capable of consuming just one liter of fuel for every 100 kilometers it traveled. With Volkswagen chairman Dr. Ferdinand Piech behind the wheel, the concept proved its merit as it drove from Wolfsburg to Hamburg in a public demonstration. Still, in 2002, VW was unable to make a production case for the L1, citing massive materials costs for the carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque body. Still, Piech held out hope that the L1 would be production-viable one day.
VW has decided that the day is near, and will bring an updated version of the L1 Concept to the Frankfurt Motor Show this week. With plans for the L1′s production slated for 2013, VW will show the new concept in “near-production” form, with every component reengineered. The L1′s chassis is crafted partially from lightweight aluminum. VW claims the L1 weighs in at a scant 380 kgs with its CFRP body, and will accelerate to a top speed of just over 160 kph courtesy of its ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.195. The L1 utilizes a 1L TDI diesel engine and a single electric motor in a full-hybrid configuration and consumes 1.38 liters of diesel for every 100 km it travels.
Other interesting touches include the cockpit layout, with the passenger seat directly behind that of the driver. Entrance and exit of the vehicle is made possible by the side-hinged roof canopy – similar in design to a glider. The L1′s general aerodynamic profile and seating configuration were also glider-inspired

New Sport BMW debuting sustainable Frankfurt

New Sport BMW debuting sustainable FrankfurtBMW debuting sustainable In Frankfurt

Busy, busy. BMW starts the day by leaving F1. And it looks like for lunch they're bringing a green sports car to the Frankfurt Auto Show. Maybe. According to Autotelegraf.nl, the new sustainable sports car concept will be inspired by the BMW M1 Hommage concept and will feature all the latest and greatest BMW EfficientDynamics (auto stop/start, regenerative brakes, electric powersteering, etc). But the hits don't stop there -- look for the concept to be built from sustainable materials, too. Big question: will this car be just a concept, or will a sustainable sports car actually make its way to dealers? Dunno. But the Dutch word is that BMW is studying the viability of said project and is planning on a limited release two-door showcasing their best environmental kung fu by 2012. Again, we just don't know, and we're not quite willing to hold our breath yet.
